Our Principal Dentist, Dr Bashar, graduated from Guy’s Dental School in 1985. He has over 30 years of experience in all aspects of dentistry. Early on in his career, he developed an interest and commitment to exploring ways to help and support nervous or phobic patients. His research led him to develop the unique Enjoyable Dentistry Technique™, as part of his Master’s Degree in Hypnosis applied to Dentistry at University College London in 2003.

As a result, Dr Bashar has built a name for himself in the world of dental phobia, winning the 2016, 2017 and 2018 award for Best Treatment of Nervous Patients in the UK at The Private Dentistry and Oral Health Awards.

His techniques and manner have long attracted high-profile patients to his practices, where he takes on simple and complex dental implant cases, smile makeovers and other cosmetic dental treatments.

Dr Ming-Wei graduated in 2010 with Honours from the University of Manchester. She did her Dental Foundation Year 1 in London and then her Dental Foundation Year 2 in Kings College Hospital (community dentistry, restorative and oral surgery department). She then completed a year in the Oral and Maxillofacial unit (head and neck cancer, jaw correction, skin grafts, surgical extractions etc) at William Harvey hospital before going into general practice.

Dr Ming-Wei completed a diploma, then a master in primary dental care. She is currently on the Diploma in Implant Dentistry with the Royal College of Surgeons and has a few publications.

Apart from dental implants, she loves short term orthodontics including Inman aligner, clear aligner and also 6-month smiles.

Jaime de Castro Torres graduated in dentistry in 2011 in Madrid, Spain. Through his career he has been helping people to improve their oral health and to put their best smile forward. His kindness, perseverance and hard work make him the trusted dentist in the community that he is today.

Very early in his career, Jaime’s passion for dental implants and oral surgery started flourishing when he understood the fact that patients getting their chewing and smile back had a huge improvement in their quality of life thus, he realized he wanted to contribute to helping them to achieve this goal. As Jaime has stated, the stress and difficulties associated with complex and challenging cases were greatly compensated by the final outcomes and patient happiness and satisfaction on completion, moreover his desire to achieve the best results and to be up-to-date on the latest technologies in implant dentistry never ceases. His ongoing training has driven him to many locations in the world such as Cambridge, Bucharest, Cuzco, la Havana and Santiago de Chile.

With approximately 2000 implants placed, he confidently can overcome most simple, advanced and complex cases to fill unwanted gaps, from diagnosis, treatment planning, surgical execution to final prosthetic restoration and fit.

Dr Charan Virdi qualified from the University of Birmingham. Since then she has furthered her education and skills by attending various restorative courses in the Uk. In the pursuit of providing excellence in dental care, she is completing the prestigious Restorative MSc at the Eastman Dental Institute, UCL London.

From creating beautiful bespoke smiles to salvaging heavily restored and worn dentitions, Charan has a wide range of clinical talents with a keen interest in biomimetic dentistry which is the preservation of intact tooth structure whilst replicating nature as closely as possible.

Her calm persona makes her exceptionally popular with patients, in particular those who suffer from dental anxiety. Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, painting and spending time with her family.

Following her graduation from King’s College London in 2011 she has undertaken further postgraduate study at the Royal College of Surgeons in Advanced Restorative Dentistry prior to completing her Invisalign training.

Alongside her full-time work, Dr Rubina has held great passion for facial rejuvenation and enhancement and has participated in multiple study programmes in advanced anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers. enabling her to utilise refined needle and cannulae techniques to achieve the much desired enhancement and profile balance results her patients desire.

Outside of her working hours, Rubina has a long-held passion for painting, design and immersing herself in different cultures through her globe trotting.

Dr Handa joined Care Dental in 2023, after his foundation year.

He graduated from King’s College London, where he achieved many prizes throughout his degree, including the notable Tom Pitt-Ford award by the British Endodontic Society. His genuine desire to help patients drives his focus on providing general dental care with kindness and empathy.

Dr. Handa offers services such as checkups, fillings, root canal treatments, and dentures, ensuring the best patient experience possible. His patients love him, thanks to his kind, gentle nature and smiley, bubbly personality.

Dr. Hana Hadad graduated from the University of Bristol Dental School. She has continually advanced her career by attending cosmetic dentistry courses and is currently completing the prestigious Tipton Training PGCert in Operative Dentistry.

Dr. Hana is also passionate about aligning teeth and is a certified Invisalign provider. Her warm and welcoming demeanor ensures that her patients feel comfortable and secure in her care.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Hana has a strong passion for football and Pilates. She also enjoys learning new languages, a pursuit inspired by her multicultural background.

Dr. Ali Al-Naher brings a mix of skills to The Care Dental Group, combining general dentistry with cosmetic and restorative work. His journey began at The University of Manchester, where he developed a passion for treating nervous patients. Dr. Al-Naher understands the fear and anxiety that often accompany dental visits. He is an excellent practitioner of the Enjoyable Dentistry Technique™ and his kind, empathetic nature always puts patients at ease.

Whether it’s routine checkups, restorative treatments, or cosmetic procedures, Dr. Al-Naher’s approach remains consistent: compassionate care that puts patients first.

Dr. Joseph believes each and every patient deserves personal attention in a calm, relaxed, and caring atmosphere. By working one-on-one with each patient and taking the time to understand their needs and concerns, he can help achieve their goals in not only improving their dental health, but also their overall health and well-being. He strongly believes that preventing problems is the best form of treatment, and that by educating his patients, they can make well-informed decisions to help maintain their teeth for the rest of their lives.

He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery with Honours in 2009 from the prestigious University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. He then furthered his training with a general practice residency through the University of British Columbia where he had the opportunity to work in multiple hospital and dental clinics throughout the province while being taught advanced techniques in all aspects of dentistry. After completing his residency, he became the principal dentist of a non-profit dental clinic in Victoria, B.C where he was able to provide comprehensive care to homeless and those in need. It was here that he witnessed the true value of having a healthy mouth and smile on one’s quality of life, as many of his patients had lost their teeth and were struggling to eat, did not have the confidence to smile or even talk to other people.

He then joined one of the most advanced clinics in Canada where he worked alongside specialists and technicians utilising the latest technology to provide the highest quality of care for his patients. After spending six years in Canada, he and his family decided to move to the warm and sunny islands of Hawaii where he ran a private practice that focused on advanced restorative and aesthetic dentistry. While they enjoyed living and working there for many years, they decided to move to London to be closer to family. He has been practicing cosmetic dentistry in London for the past year and looks forward to providing cosmetic and general dental care at Care Dental Platinum.
