Is teeth whitening treatment suitable for me?
You’ll consult with our dentist before you have any treatment. They’ll be able to assess your oral health and determine if you are a good candidate for teeth whitening. Generally, teeth whitening is safe for most people, but there are certain conditions that may make it unsuitable, such as gum disease, tooth decay, and sensitive teeth. Additionally, if you have dental restorations like crowns or veneers, they may not respond to the whitening treatment.

What’s the in-chair treatment process?
Our most effective procedure is carried out initially ‘in chair’ at our clinic. The procedure takes approximately 90 minutes and achieves excellent immediate results.

Do you offer a home whitening treatment?
We do offer a more affordable ‘home whitening’ treatment system, for those looking for a convenient and easy solution they can use in their own time. Our home-use kits can be applied in your own time, to extend and enhance the results of your treatment.

Our in-chair, and home treatments are totally safe. They won’t damage your tooth enamel or gums.

How long will the results last?
The effects can last for up to 2 years, if you have our in-chair treatment, or you have an ‘in-practice’ treatment prior to home whitening.

Teeth whitening treatments work by using branded bleaching agents to remove the stains and discolouration from the teeth. They help to lighten the teeth and restore their natural white shade. During our in-chair treatment, our dentist will apply our bleaching gel directly to the teeth, before using special lights to activate it. At-home teeth whitening treatments involve the use of custom-made trays filled with a lower concentration bleaching gel. The trays are worn for a specified period, usually a few hours per day or overnight, for a period of 1-2 weeks.

Our treatment process
1. Your Consultation
Our dentist will begin by examining your teeth and gums to identify any underlying issues that may need to be addressed before proceeding with whitening. They will also discuss the different whitening options available with you.
2. Your Treatment
Our dentist will apply a strong bleaching gel directly to the teeth and then activate it using a specialised light. The gel is left on for around 15-30 minutes, and then removed. This process may be repeated multiple times until the desired level of whitening is achieved.
3. Aftercare
We’ll provide full aftercare guidance, but to increase the longevity of your treatment, it’s important to avoid consuming foods and drinks that are known to stain teeth, such as coffee, tea, red wine, and dark-colored sauces.
