Replace missing teeth with implant-retained dentures

When someone has all their teeth missing, it can greatly impact their ability to chew food, speak clearly, and maintain a confident smile. Our dentist can provide assistance is by offering dentures as a replacement for the missing teeth. Our implant-retained dentures are custom-made prosthetic devices that are designed to closely resemble natural teeth. They are securely anchored to the jaw bone, so there’s no slippage, and you won’t need to remove them. They are long-lasting, and you can keep them clean in the same way you clean natural teeth.

Benefits of implant-retained dentures

  • Restore your ability to eat a balanced diet properly
  • Speak more clearly
  • Boost your smile confidence
  • Prevent premature facial ageing
  • Prevent oral bone loss
  • Improve your oral health

Our treatment process

1. Your Consultation

Our dentist will evaluate the condition of your gums, jawbone, and remaining teeth to ensure that there is enough support for the dental implants. X-rays and 3D imaging may be taken to give us a better idea of the treatment plan needed.

2. Your Treatment

Dental implants, which are small titanium screws, are surgically placed into the jawbone. These implants serve as a stable foundation for the dentures. After the implants have integrated with the bone over a period of several months, bridges containing a row of crowns will be attached to the implants.

3. Aftercare

We’ll advise you to avoid anything that will put pressure on your implants. Smoking and sticky foods are also to be avoided following implant placement.

FAQs

  • We recommend dental implants. These are titanium posts that are surgically placed into the jawbone to act as artificial tooth roots. Dental bridges are another popular option, which involve using adjacent teeth to support a prosthetic tooth.

  • When it comes to replacing missing teeth, time is of the essence. The longer you wait, the more potential complications can arise. It is generally recommended that you replace missing teeth as soon as possible to maintain proper oral health and function. Leaving a gap for an extended period of time can lead to a shifting of the surrounding teeth, bone loss in the jaw, and difficulty in chewing and speaking.

  • Dental implants are artificial tooth roots that are placed in the jawbone to provide a stable foundation for replacement teeth. They are a popular and effective solution for individuals who have lost 1 or more teeth due to injury, decay, or periodontal disease. Dental implants are made of biocompatible materials such as titanium, which allows them to fuse with the bone and become a permanent part of the mouth. The process of getting dental implants typically involves several stages, including a thorough evaluation, placement of the implant, and attachment of the replacement tooth or teeth. Dental implants are known for their durability, natural appearance, and ability to restore proper function to the mouth.

  • The number of implants required can vary depending on individual needs, but generally a full set of teeth can be achieved with anywhere from 4 to 8 dental implants. Our dentist will be able to give you more specific details when you visit us for your consultation.

  • You shouldn’t feel any pain with our Enjoyable Dentistry Technique™ We’ll explain our pioneering pain-relief process when you visit us for your consultation.

  • The healing time for dental implants depends on your overall health and the complexity of the procedure. On average, it takes about 3 to 6 months for dental implants to heal.

  • Dental implants are designed to be a permanent solution, with the potential to last a lifetime.

  • “Wanted to say big THANK YOU to Dr Mahir and his kind lady assistant for outstanding service. They exceed all expectations, made our visit enjoyable and relaxing for my 5 years daughter. She didn’t mind her 3 teeth to be fixed, she even had much fun chatting and dancing with them. Also big THANK YOU for my fixed teeth, great communication and saved time as we didn’t need one more appointment. They made us feel cared about and important.”

  • “I’m beyond grateful to have met Dr Rubina and David at Care Dental! I have been having on-going treatment for the past year with them, from dentistry to cosmetic. In every aspect Care Dental have blown me away with their friendliness, professionalism and technique! I have gone from being nervous of going to the dentist, to being excited for my next trip and to have a catch up!!! Everyone makes you feel so welcome and you can really feel the family environment they have at the practice. The reception staff are so sweet, helpful and understanding, they have helped me so much with financing options and making sure that the appointments fit within my schedule too! I can’t thank you all enough, even though I will be leaving the country, I will 100% make the commute from Nottingham (when I pop back) just to be treated by Rubina and her incredible team – it is beyond worth the trip!!! Thank you!”

  • “Great service, my best dentistry experience ever. I can only recommend this practise and their abilities to make visits to the dentist as enjoyable as possible – even for someone like myself that always has been extremely nervous at the dentist. Had quite some work carried out by Dr Rubina – and both she and David and managed to make me feel at ease during all procedures (which was quite an accomplishment).”
